Van Der Vaart reveals which former teammate he would love to see back at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur may be playing Liverpool away this weekend, but some Tottenham fans will be looking forward to the second test event at the new stadium.

This represents some supporter’s first chance to see the new ground, and what better way to do it than by watching some of your favourite Spurs legends take to the pitch.

Tottenham legends will take on Inter Forever, with former players such as Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov, Jurgen Klinsmann and Rafa Van der Vaart.

Van der Vaart has been a keen Tottenham fan ever since leaving White Hart Lane, and still talks of his regret at doing so.

In a recent interview, the Dutchman stated that he would love to see former teammate Gareth Bale back in a Lilywhite shirt.

Despite Bale’s success in Madrid, he has been on the wrong end of fan hostility recently, and some have predicted a move back to Spurs, perhaps with Eriksen going the other way.

Van Der Vaart had this to say (Standard): “I know him as a person and, with a Spurs hat, I always hope he’ll say, ‘Okay, I’ll come back’. I don’t think it’s going to happen, but that would be a nice story.”
