Rafael van der Vaart - Tottenham Hotspur news

Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has been ruled out for six weeks.

The Holland international suffered the injury in his left leg in last weekend’s 5-1 home defeat by Manchester City.

He has since been diagnosed with a hamstring tear after an MRI scan and is not expected to return until the middle of October.

That means Van der Vaart will at least be unavailable for Premier League games against Wolves, Liverpool, Wigan and the north London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

He will also miss the start of Spurs’ Europa League campaign, including meetings with PAOK Salonika and Shamrock Rovers.

  1. Good !!!!!!!!!! we might start getting a formation together, preferably 4-4-2 which is what we need. Use the fast wings we have and it lets Bale play a lot higher up the pitch. VDV is a terrific player but he poses lots of problems when setting out your team. He may find it hard to get back into the team if whatever 2 strikers combine, and thats a BIG IF !!!!!

  2. This story should be read in conjunction with the story on the SkySports site – VDV gets this particular injury all the time (injury prone). He expects to be back in a couple of weeks!

  3. His initials are VD not VDV you prick!!!!! I like the geezer as regards his chutzpah but not the fact that like that fucking Croatian fuckin weasal he really wants to be somewhere else.Levy done well making the weasal stay. Imagine if he was a bird , he'd be the most ugly fucking bitch going
imagine meeting two birds , one looking like the weasal and the other like Rodney Trotter!!!!!!!Shame Rodney left though cos I liked him.
