Jan Vertonghen could complete his move to Tottenham this week, according to his agent.
The Ajax skipper can operate as a central defender, left-back and also in midfield and the speculation about a move to White Hart Lane is now causing Spurs fans, or at least this one to just want the deal secured.
Ajax are said to be holding out for 15million Euros for the 25-year-old while Spurs are said to be refusing to pay that amount considering he is out of contract next summer.
Hopefully we won’t miss out on Vertonghen due to a difference in valuation, he seems to have his heart set on a switch to us and that’s exactly what we want – players ready to play for the badge.
“Jan is waiting. The clubs are close,” Mustapha Nakhli told Voetbal International.
“I hope it will be this week. I think it will. We are talking to Tottenham.”
