Jose Mourinho has labelled Hugo Lloris as a ‘top goalkeeper’ amidst speculation linking the Tottenham number one with a move to AS Roma.
Lloris is one of many players in the Tottenham squad whose future at the club is in doubt, with the Spurs captain having just 12 months left to run on his contract.
Although some reports have indicated that the Frenchman is set to put pen to paper on a contract extension, the fact that the North London club continue to be linked with various goalkeepers suggests otherwise.
It has been rumoured that Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Lloris to Paris Saint-Germain but, if reports in the Italian press are to be believed, the goalkeeper could reunite with another one of his former Spurs bosses in Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho did not hide his admiration for Lloris when talking about Les Blues’ chances in the European Championship.
He told talkSPORT (9:54am, June 11, 2021): “Lloris, of course, Lloris is a very good goalkeeper. Top goalkeeper.”
