Some Millwall fans have praised Troy Parrott’s performance after the Tottenham loanee was handed his first start in the Championship against Reading on Wednesday.
Multiple injury problems have prevented the striker from being able to feature in the league for Millwall since he completed his loan move in the summer.
However, the 18-year-old now seems to have put his troubles behind him as he made his first Championship appearance in the 1-1 draw against Cardiff last Saturday, as well as representing his country during the international break.
The teenager apparently did enough to convince Millwall boss Gary Rowett, although the Lions once again had to settle for a draw despite taking the lead.
The Spurs youngster got more than an hour of football under his belt before being taken off. Despite not managing to get on the scoresheet, he did earn his manager’s praise for a promising display.
Some Millwall fans on social media were also impressed with what they saw from the striker, baring in mind it was his very first league run-out.
Here’s how they reacted to his performance:
Troy Parrott's vision is incredible for such a young age.

Troy Parrott looks quite bright. He is coming deep and managing to find players ahead of him.
That sort of creator behind the attack is something we've been lacking. #Millwall

Difficult game to watch that was, Reading barely done anything, but we just really lack any creativity in the final 3rd. Parrott looked very good imo, but needs to be further up the field.

Been an ok half. Started bright, tempo dropped off a bit. Had lots of the ball but haven’t created much. Parrott good at connecting the play, nice to see. Struggling to progress the ball if Woods/Willo not available. Would like to see more runs in behind especially from Jed

Parrott’s looked good, definitely fitter and got stuck in properly. Just need a Bod miracle…

Parrott definitely looks a player but he’s going to need games and we’ve got to remember he’s only 18.
