According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer of Radu Dragusin to Tottenham Hotspur should happen ‘very soon’, as the player has already agreed personal terms and talks are ongoing between Spurs and Genoa to agree a deal.
Tottenham have made the signing of a new centre-back the top priority for the January transfer window, and Radu Dragusin has long been considered one of the main targets for the role (Telegraph).
With the injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, Spurs have recognised the need to reinforce the central defensive position as swiftly as possible. This has left any move for Jean-Clair Todibo at risk of collapsing, as Nice are more reluctant to sell (Fabrizio Romano).
Instead, the Lilywhites have ramped up their pursuit of Dragusin, and Romano has been covering the ongoing situation very closely over the last week. He revealed recently that a bid had been sent to Genoa, and that both Ange Postecoglou and Dragusin himself were happy with the proposed switch.

When will Spurs sign Radu Dragusin?
Now, Romano has a fresh update on the matter, and he has suggested the announcement of the transfer of Dragusin to Spurs is getting closer and closer.
He tweeted: “Radu Dragusin has accepted all details of Tottenham contract proposal as personal terms have been agreed, as revealed last week. Despite public statements on new deal, he’s now waiting for Spurs. Spurs and Genoa remain in talks to get the deal done very soon.”

We expect this deal to be confirmed by the end of the week at the very latest. Spurs are happy, Dragusin is on board, so it’s just a matter of landing on a price with Genoa now, but given the circumstances, that agreement can’t be far away now. It will be such a relief to have that new centre-back in already, so early in the window.
