‘Very Spursy’ – Mark Lawrenson shares his Fulham v Spurs prediction

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Fulham this evening.

Antonio Conte’s side head to Craven Cottage on the back of having thrown away a two goal lead at the home of Premier League champions Manchester City on Thursday night, only for an error-strewn second half to see them fall to a 4-2 defeat and leaving the north Londoners with an uphill task of Champions League qualification.

Rodrigo Bentancur‘s return from injury to make his first appearance since before the World Cup was a welcome boost to the starting eleven with the Uruguayan helping to add another dimension to Spurs’ play, especially in the first half.

Spurs have now conceded 31 goals, the sixth most in the top flight heading into this weekend’s fixtures and something which needs to be addressed and fast with the Cottagers able to leapfrog their opponents with a victory.

Lawrenson told Paddy Power: “Fulham should have got something out of the game against Newcastle with that bizarre Aleksandar Mitrovic penalty but you look at Spurs and you think, ‘What on earth is happening?’ Then, all of a sudden, they go and win and win comfortably. After losing against Arsenal it would be very Spursy for them to win this easily.

“Fulham 0-2 Tottenham.”
