Video: 17 minute new Spurs stadium update; club shop opening date and more

Tottenham Hotspur’s brand new 62,000 seat stadium has been plagued by delays for the majority of the summer.

The original opening date was supposed to be September 15, a big crunch match against Liverpool, but issues with the fire safety system put a stop to this.

Since then, Spurs have avoided putting a definite finishing date on the stadium build, probably to reduce fan disappointment.

However, it finally looks as if the stadium is inching towards final completion.

The seats are in, the turf is laid, and the goal posts are erected, with latest photos showing what visually looks like a completed stadium.

Tottenham have also started sending out season ticket holder gift packs and membership cards, another indication that the ground is nearing an opening date.

Fans will be itching to take their new seats in the ground.

Chris Cowlin took a look around the site this week, giving updates on when the Spurs store will open and more!
