Tottenham Hotspur cruised to an expected 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town this afternoon in their first 2020/21 pre-season match.
The game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium marked a debut and first start for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after his transfer from Southampton this summer.
The Denmark international played in the centre of midfield alongside the likes of Harry Winks and Dele Alli in the first half, making an instant impact as he won the ball back to create Tottenham’s second goal.
After a very tidy display in North London, Hojbjerg gave an equally impressive post-match interview:
"I think we took some good steps forward but we still have a lot to do."
