Video: Aerial footage shows golden cockerel sitting proudly on roof of the new Spurs stadium

A historic event took place at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium earlier today when the famous cockerel was hoisted upon its perch.

The scaled up replica which was made by London Mould Makers and stands at approximately 4.5m tall, nearly double the height of the original and sits on the stadium’s roof structure above the South Stand.

It includes every tiny detail of original that currently sits in the lobby of the club’s Lilywhite House offices – including dent made by Paul Gascoigne in the late 1980.

The cockerel has been positioned with its left wing facing towards the pitch to ensure that fans and players within the bowl will view the Cockerel as it appears on our crest.

Mr. AV has taken his drone high above the skies of the 62,062 seater stadium to show an aerial view of the golden cockerel.
