Mauricio Pochettino has made contradictory statements about how active Tottenham will be in the January transfer window.
While he previously hinted that the team will be able to fix their problems in January (Football.London), he declared in the pre match press conference ahead of the game against Watford that if it were up to him, he would keep all of his players (the Telegraph).
Speaking on his talkSPORT show (Alan Brazil Breakfast Show), Alan Brazil has blasted the Spurs manager’s statement and suggested that not spending in January would be a horrendous decision.
He insisted that the Lilywhites have to spend big to reach the next level. Watch Brazil’s full take below:
"I just don't get this." 😡
"That's poor – Tottenham have to march on."
"They have to get rid and bring in." 💰@AlanBrazil says Tottenham have to invest in their squad in January. ⚪️

Spurs Web Opinion
I believe we should take Pochettino’s statement with a pinch of salt. I think it is quite clear that Tottenham will be active in January as there were a couple of deals that we just about missed out in the summer. Additionally, the likes of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld are approaching the end of their contracts and might leave.
