Alan Brazil has questioned Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to bench Christian Eriksen.
The Dane found himself among the substitutes for the 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle United, the second time the Spurs boss has failed to start Eriksen in the opening three fixtures.
Brazil, a former Spurs striker insists that while Eriksen is still at the club, he should be in the starting eleven.
Instead of being on the bench, Brazil claims he would instead try to get the most out of the 27-year-old until a bid comes in.
Pochettino’s decision to bench the former Ajax man backfired yesterday with Spurs struggling to show any creativity in the final third.
Eriksen must start in the North London derby next Sunday if we are to stand any chance of scoring against Arsenal.
“Eriksen on the bench!? I’m sorry, you have to play him!” 😡
“He is too good to leave out!” ❌
“I’d play him so he can show clubs why they should buy him.” 💥
Alan Brazil says #THFC must play Eriksen despite his uncertain future.
