Video: Andros Townsend reveals whether he has regrets about Spurs exit

Andros Townsend has revealed that he doesn’t have regrets in life or in football as his decisions have made him who he is today, although he would have liked to have left Tottenham on a better note.

The former Spurs winger has previously revealed that he left the North London club due to an off-the-field incident in which he pushed fitness coach, Nathan Gardiner after being left on the bench as an unused substitute for a Premier League match against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane in 2015, which led to him being dropped by Mauricio Pochettino.

Townsend eventually moved to Newcastle and later established himself as a senior player at Crystal Palace and became a free agent this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Andros did let himself down when he left Spurs but I’m sure it was a one-off rush of blood moment and I have very fond memories of him in a Lilywhite and England shirt. I’m sure that many of the Spurs faithful still love him as ‘one of our own’.
