Andy Gray and Richard Keys were both left baffled by the VAR decision which denied Harry Kane a second goal against Southampton.
Kane appeared timed his run to perfection to latch onto a ball from Harry Winks over the top of the Saints defence and finished low into the corner of the net.
Former Everton forward Gray, who was appearing on beIN Sports described the decision as ‘nonsense’ and believes that officials are finding reasons to chalk off goals.
Tottenham were unable to find a breakthrough despite their one-man advantage and instead had to settle for a point at St Mary’s to end their 2021 campaign in disappointing fashion.

It is absolutely farcical that Martin Atkinson has decided that Kane was offside in the build-up to Harry Winks’ pass and almost feels as if the system has gone backwards following the previous controversies of similar situations in recent seasons.
