Video: Andy Gray explains why Dele Alli’s stunning goal should not have stood

Andy Gray has claimed that Dele Alli’s goal at Manchester United should not have stood.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s impressive recent form continued at Old Trafford when he produced a moment of magic.

Trailing 1-0 to a Marcus Rashford goal, Spurs went on a rare attack and when the ball went into the air, he brought the ball under control with a stunning first touch to flick it over the head of a United defender and poked the ball beyond David De Gea to level the score.

Gray believes that the goal should have been chalked off by VAR if the Premier League follow the letter of the law.

Premier League rules stipulate that any goal scored or created with the use of the hand or arm will be disallowed this season even if it is accidental.

In the build up to Dele’s goal, it appeared that the ball may have made contact with his hand which the former Sky Sports presenter believes is enough for it not to have stood.
