Real Betis have announced the signing of Nabil Fekir from Lyon this week, on a contract that will see him ply his trade in Spain until 2023.

This can be seen as a major boost for Tottenham, as it could free up Fekir’s fellow attacking midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso, to join the Lilywhites.

Spurs bid £53m for the playmaker back at the start of the window, but the offer was turned down (BBC). However, reports now suggest that Lo Celso could join Spurs as early as this week (Mirror).
