Former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson cannot hide his excitement at Gareth Bale’s imminent return to Spurs.
Reports indicate that it is only a matter of time before Spurs announce the capture of the Welshman, with the final details of the transfer having been agreed (Fabrizio Romano).
Dawson, who was in North London during the entirety of Bale’s previous six-year spell at the club, named the 31-year-old as the best player he has played with.
The central defender revealed that he was desperate for his former teammate to return to the Premier League and insisted that Bale will improve the current Tottenham side.

With Bale not having played much football over the last two years, the reality is that we simply do not know what version of him we are getting. However, even if he has declined as an athlete, I have no doubt that he will still be a massive asset over the course of the season. Hopefully, he is able to stay fit through the entire campaign.
