Steven Bergwijn has admitted that he wants to lift the Premier League title with Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger settled in quickly to life in North London after arriving from PSV Eindhoven in January only to suffer ankle injury against Burnley in March which looked set to rule him out for the rest of the campaign.

However, the suspension of the Premier League due to the coronavirus pandemic has proved to be somewhat a blessing in disguise for the 22-year-old from a footballing perspective after recovering from the injury (Football.London).

When asked in a Twitter Q and A what his ambitions were at Tottenham, he said that while finishing in the top four was the main aim when the Premier League returns whilst also claiming the Spurs squad was good enough to win the league in the future.

Bergwijn was also asked by a fan to pick who was quicker between him and Son Heung-min and the Dutchman was confident that he had the edge over the South Korean.

Bergwijn is not the first person to spell out his title ambitions as Ryan Sessegnon also said the same thing recently. I believe Jose has got the squad believing that we are good enough to challenge for the title next season.
