Harry Winks has insisted that he does not care what position he plays for Tottenham Hotspur.
The boyhood Spurs fan (Telegraph) has been linked away with a move from North London with Athletic claiming earlier this month that Manchester City and Manchester United mulling over a summer move.
Winks claimed that he is happy playing as a holding midfielder whereas in other matches where Mourinho adopts a 2-3-1 with two holding midfielders then he believes he has the licence to go forward more often.
The 23-year-old has started the last three matches with Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko having been sidelined with injuries, having struggled to hold down a regular place following the arrival of Mourinho (transfermarkt).

Opinion
Many fans will admire Winks’ comments about being happy to play anywhere but the stark reality is that he is not a holding midfielder. Both Pochettino and Mourinho have attempted the Winks and Sissoko pivot which has failed to deliver.
