Tim Sherwood believes that Tottenham Hotspur should be prioritising their upcoming Carabao Cup match against Arsenal instead of Sunday’s Premier League encounter.
The former Spurs player and manager insists that while the Tottenham hierarchy will want the club to finish in the top four to secure a financially lucrative spot once again in next season’s Champions League, the players will want to win trophies.
Tottenham have not won a piece of silverware since lifting the League Cup in 2008 following a 2-1 win against Chelsea and Sherwood feels that success in the competition once again should be the main focus.
