Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have fallen significantly behind in their ability to challenge for the Premier League title.
Carragher believes that under Mauricio Pochettino, the North London side were one or two players away from winning the title. Spurs came close on two occasions to ending their wait for a first top flight crown since 1960/61.
The Sky Sports pundit Jose Mourinho needs four or five players just to get back to where Pochettino was with a side which were full of energy, pressed the opposition and played out from the back.
The 41-year-old highlighted the fact that Spurs no longer press from the front and believes that the players have no idea of what they are doing when they do attempt to play out from the defence.
