Former Tottenham Hotspur player Darren Bent has claimed that Harry Kane is not as good as what Wayne Rooney was at the peak of his powers for Manchester United.
Kane scored his 200th goal for Tottenham Hotspur in all competitions on Thursday evening when he netted against Ludogorets in what was his 300th appearance for the club (transfermarkt).
Despite Kane’s impressive tally, Bent believes that the England captain has the potential to be one of the greats if he continues on his current path but does not feel he is currently worth a place in the top five Premier League strikers of all time.
Bent suggested that the fact that Rooney offered a versatile approach to his game by being able to play in a number of positions helps to give him the upper hand on the Spurs front man despite Kane having reached the tally of 200 goals considerably quicker than that the former United player.
