Darren Bent believes that Tottenham Hotspur should consider signing Danny Ings from Southampton.
The Saints striker scored the only goal of the game on New Year’s Day in their 1-0 win against Jose Mourinho’s side.
It was in the same game which Harry Kane limped off the St Mary’s pitch with a torn hamstring with the club yet to reveal how long he is expected to be out of action for.
Ings is arguably enjoying the best season of his career having already found the back of the net 15 times in twenty three matches in all competitions (transfermarkt).
Bent suggested if Spurs were able to sign Ings and he scored five or six goals, Kane may not automatically walk back in the starting eleven once he returns to fitness and would have to be patient for his opportunity.
"If Daniel Levy were to get Danny Ings, that be a great signing." ✅
"For me, that's a perfect fit." ?
