It was far from an ideal season for Tottenham’s Dele Alli last year, despite playing in a Champions League final and finishing in the top four of the Premier League.
On a personal note, Dele’s season was plagued with injury, he was forced to play a deeper role, and he struggled to create his usual top class form.
Dele had by far his worst goalscoring season in a Spurs shirt, netting just seven times in all competitions, compared to 14, 22, and 10 in the previous three years (Wikipedia).
Even in his final two years at MK Dons he scored seven in 2013/14 and 16 in 2014/15.
However, the midfielder is hoping to put those worries behind him and come back stronger next season.
