Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky Sports News that Tottenham’s new sporting director, Fabio Paratici has already had a phone call with Gennaro Gattuso.
The journalist claimed that Gattuso is now Tottenham’s top managerial target after the manager left Fiorentina after just 23 days in charge.
Alasdair Gold revealed in a Twitter thread this evening that Gattuso was Paratici’s first choice but the former AC Milan man was employed when he arrived in North London.
As such, Paulo Fonseca was approached but now that Gattuso is available, Spurs are moving their attention to him instead.

I do not want Gattuso anywhere near the club. I do not agree with his managerial pedigree or his personal views on social matters. This appointment would not only be underwhelming but rather sad too.
