In his first interview as a Tottenham Hotspur player, Djed Spence has described the move as a ‘dream come true’.

Spence rose to the limelight with his performances on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, playing a key role in helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old will now get his first taste of top-flight football at Spurs, and he admitted that he cannot wait to meet his new teammates and the coaching staff.

The right-back also expressed his excitement about being involved in the Champions League and stated that he is keen to show Spurs fans what he can do.

Spence also spoke about his relationship with Ryan Sessegnon back from his days with the Fulham academy.

I am extremely excited about Spence’s arrival as I believe his characteristics are perfect for the right wing-back role in Conte’s system.

The 21-year-old is excellent in one vs one situations, both defensively and offensively, and seems to have the engine needed to get up and down the pitch all game.

He could potentially evolve into a top-class wing-back under the guidance of Conte and his coaching staff.
