Most Spurs fans know that Son Heung-min is a huge star in his home country of South Korea. After all, they are used to see a healthy contingent of travelling South Koreans supporting the Spurs forward at nearly every home game.
However, it is hard to fathom just how popular the two-time Asian footballer of the year is in his home country. Son, who is certainly one of the best players to ever come out of South Korea, is a national obsession back home.

Son is arguably the biggest icon that Spurs have in the team at the moment even over Harry Kane due to his popularity in Asia. This is, of course, terrific for the club as many of Son’s fans have likely become adherent Tottenham fans over the last few years. Hopefully, they will remain fans of the club for life.
