Video: Eight Tottenham players spotted in training clip – No West Ham starters

Tottenham returned to training on Monday on the back of Sunday’s defeat to West Ham, but none of those who started the game at the London Stadium were seen taking part.

Tottenham’s miserable run of form against London opposition continued at the hands of David Moyes’ side, who claimed a 1-0 win courtesy of Michail Antonio’s second-half strike.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side started proceedings sluggishly but picked up the momentum later into the first half and into the second period.

However, a lapse of concentration in giving a corner away and defending the resulting set-piece was enough for Spurs to lose out altogether and for Antonio to prod home his sixth goal of the season.

The players have since returned to training at the club’s Enfield training base, but none of the starters in yesterday’s defeat were not spotted taking part in Monday’s session.

Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil and Steven Bergwijn, who were all subbed on in West London, were involved in a gentle jog alongside unused substitute Dele Alli.

Harry Winks and Dane Scarlett were also spotted on the training pitch after the pair were left out of the Spurs squad altogether at the weekend.

Meanwhile, goalkeepers Pierluigi Gollini and Brandon Austin were being put through their paces by the club’s coaches in a quick-fire drill.

Spurs Web Opinion

It was yet another performance that flattered to deceive on Sunday, and it was not the response many would have wanted after the Europa Conference League defeat in midweek.

Spurs have to show a bounce-back performance against Burnley in the Carabao Cup, before hosting an out-of-sorts Manchester United on Saturday evening.
