It was a mixed night for Eric Dier in Munich as Spurs fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern in the Champions League yesterday.
While the team lost and Dier himself performed poorly again, he was given the captain’s armband on the night, yet another sign of the faith that Mourinho has in him.
Despite only being at the club for six games now, Mourinho had already handed Dier more starts that Pochettino did under his reign this season.
Dier claims he was disappointed with the chances Spurs let Bayern create last night:
