Eric Dier has admitted that it has been a difficult season for Tottenham on the whole, with the players having to adapt to a new way of playing after a midway managerial change.
Spurs parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino in November after a poor start to the season and the arrival of Jose Mourinho initially seemed to rejuvenate the squad.
However, performances and results have since dropped off and Mourinho has come under a lot of criticism.
Dier has now hailed the Spurs boss’ character and will to win and insisted that it was up to the players to learn from him.
Here’s what the 26-year-old said about Mourinho and Pochettino to Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday:
🗣 "He has a very big character, very big will to win. We need to follow him and do better"

I believe some of the criticism that Jose has received for the style of football we play and lack of creativity going forward has been unfair. We have not been a free-flowing, high pressing team since 2017, and much of the football we played in the final two seasons under Pochettino was poor as well.
