Eyebrows were raised and cheeks were clenched as Eric Dier sprinted down the tunnel mid-way through the second half against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup last night.
The England defender was chased into the dressing room by Jose Mourinho before eventually reemerging and seeing out the rest of the game.
In fact, Dier went on to step up to take and score a penalty in the shootout, as well as scooping up the man of the match award for his efforts.
