Eric Dier was visibly annoyed in his post-match interview following Tottenham’s North London Derby defeat against Arsenal this afternoon.

Spurs fought back from a goal down to level the scores through a Harry Kane penalty, but a combination of Arsenal taking the lead once more and Emerson Royal seeing red ended any hopes of a result.

While Dier was clearly annoyed, and rightly so, he was keen to remind people that it is still early in the season and Spurs also lost at the Emirates last year. He also revealed he wished Tottenham had pressed more against the Gunners.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Dier got sent for the third goal, but in fairness Emerson had just been sent off and the back five had suddenly become a four, so no one quite knew where they were meant to be. Overall, he has been solid for Spurs this season and Conte needs his leaders now.
