Video: Erik Lamela continues fine start at Sevilla by scoring winning goal with weaker right foot

Erik Lamela has continued his impressive start to life in Spain after scoring Sevilla’s winning goal against Getafe this evening.

The Argentine came off the bench in the second half of the La Liga clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez to score his third goal in two league outings for his new side to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign (transfermarkt).

In injury time, Sevilla launched a counter attack which saw former Wolves player Rafa Mir through on goal, only for his effort to come back off the post and into the path of Lamela who showed great composure to finish first time with his weaker right foot.

Lamela appears to have had a new lease of life in Spain after his career became stagnated at Tottenham, partly due to the number of injury problems he encountered which affected his ability to perform consistently.

Spurs fans will be hoping that Bryan Gil can have a similar impact in North London once he finds his feet.
