We are now just a few days away from the start of the new Premier League season.
Tottenham will begin their campaign with a home game against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
Despite the lack of too many signings so far this summer, the team seems to be heading to the season in high spirits thanks to their decent performances during pre-season.
Tottenham enjoyed victories over Juventus, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich this summer with just two defeats at the hands of Manchester United and a penalty shoot-out loss to Inter Milan yesterday afternoon.
One of Tottenham’s best players throughout the pre-season campaign has been Erik Lamela.
The Argentine gave an interview to the club’s official website after the Inter game and insisted that the team was ready for the campaign ahead.
The 27-year-old was confident that the club can have a very good season.

With Son Heung-Min suspended for the first couple of games of the season and with Dele Alli now out with an injury, Spurs will need Lamela to step up. If he can remain injury-free ( a very big ‘if’ considering his injury record), then there is no doubt that he will be a vital part of the squad.
