Erik Lamela sent a video message to the Tottenham Hotspur fans last night following the 5-0 win against Red Star Belgrade.
The Argentine was recalled to Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven for the visit of the Serbian side in what could prove to be an important win for Spurs in Group B.
It was Lamela’s 200th appearance for Spurs in all competitions and he marked his energetic display by scoring the fourth goal of the night with a neat finish.
Following the match he expressed his delight at winning the match and insisted the players will continue to try to do their best.
Next up for Spurs is a tough trip to Anfield on Sunday afternoon against Premier League leaders Liverpool.

While Lamela culd have easily have scored a hat-trick against Red Star, he has to be praised for how he worked his socks off with his pressing game that gave the opposition little time on the ball.
