Video: Eriksen outlines area where Spurs have improved drastically

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen gave an interview to BBC’s Match Of The Day, where he outlined one area where Spurs have transformed as a team during his time at the club.

Speaking after Tottenham thrashed Everton 6-2 at Goodison Park, the Danish midfielder compared the Spurs side he joined back in the summer of 2012, to the present day Everton side.

Speaking to former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas, Eriksen suggested that Spurs were a bit hit and miss during his first couple of seasons at the club but have now gotten to a point where they go into every game expecting to win. The midfielder credited that change in mentality as the reason the team have been able to grind out results this season even in games where they are not playing at their best.

The 26-year-old who got on the scoresheet with a fantastic finish at Goodison Park also had congratulatory words to say about Moussa Sissoko. He credited the Frenchman’s recent form to his newfound confidence as well as a better understanding of his role within the system.

Eriksen’s words certainly demonstrate how Pochettino has transformed this Spurs side during his time at the club. The Argentine will certainly have the squad believing that they have shot at winning the Premier League as the North London side are now only six points behind Liverpool in first place.
