Video: Eriksen scores his first goal for Inter Milan since Spurs exit

Tottenham Hotspur were unable to find the back of the net against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night with the Bundesliga side taking an away goal advantage back to Germany for the second leg of the Champions League round of sixteen tie.

Christian Eriksen was often Tottenham’s saviour and last season kept out Champions League hopes alive when he scored an 80th minute winner against Inter Milan in the group stages at Wembley (Dugout).

Eriksen now finds himself playing for the Italian side and scored his first goal for his new side last night.

The Dane was named the starting eleven by Antonio Conte and broke the deadlock during the Europa League away tie at Ludogorets Razgrad.

Eriksen picked up the ball on the edge of the Bulgarian opponents’ penalty area and fired a right-footed shot into the bottom right of the goal.

The 27-year-old nearly doubled his tally minutes later only for his shot to cannon back off the crossbar.
