Tottenham managed to edge out Brighton in a tense and nervy encounter at the new stadium to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four on course.
The visitors made it difficult for Spurs, who endured a frustrating night as they struggled to create clear-cut chances.
Christian Eriksen eventually produced a moment of magic in the 88th minute with a left-footed shot from outside of the penalty area which found its way into the bottom left corner of Matt Ryan’s net to break the hearts of the Seagulls.
The Dane has had his fair share of critics this season as he has failed to live up to his high standards in a few games. However, he once again produced a moment of class when it counted the most, and dragged Tottenham across the finishing line.
After the game, the 26-year-one noticed a fan waving a Danish flag in the crowd and proceeded to hand the fan his shirt making his night.
