Eric Dier has admitted that he is positive about the start which Tottenham Hotspur have made to the new Premier League season.
Spurs began the campaign in disappointing fashion when they failed to pose a threat to Everton during the opening match of the campaign against Everton which saw the Toffees take all three points away from North London.
Since the loss, Jose Mourinho’s side are unbeaten in their last three fixtures having come out on top against Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Southampton and KF Shkëndija.
Spurs return to top flight action with Newcastle United the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Dier mindful that despite becoming a regular in the heart of Mourinho’s defence, he knows he needs to perform game after game to keep his place.
The England international believes the players are ready for the Magpies test despite having limited preparation time following the Carabao Cup postponement against Leyton Orient and having had to travel to North Macedonia for Thursday’s Europa League match.
