Video: Ex-Arsenal man refuses to wear Spurs shirt in world record prank

Jack Wilshere refused to wear a Tottenham shirt despite an alleged world record being up for grabs.

The former Arsenal midfielder had been challenged by talkSPORT to wear 31 football shirts, with hosts Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent reiterating the feat would put him in contention for a new Guinness World Record.

However, when it came to the point of breaking the record, Goldstein threw the cat amongst the pigeons by handing Wilshere last season’s Spurs home shirt.

On his first look at what was coming, the 29-year-old quickly refused to don the jersey given his past allegiance with the Gunners.

Wilshere was eventually handed a Wolves shirt instead to hit the all-important mark of 31, but was quickly brought back down to earth by being told the entire segment was a prank with no world record there to be broken.

Everyone knows Wilshere’s past with Arsenal and Spurs so this shouldn’t surprise anyone. For Spurs fans, though, it must have been good to see him getting set up by talkSPORT like that, especially live on air.
