Video – Ex-Chelsea player predicts where Spurs will finish next season

Ex-England international Joe Cole has predicted that Spurs will finish in the ‘Top Four’ next season. However, speaking to The Sun Cole said that he thought (Sun Football): ‘there may be a gap between the top 2 and the other three’.

While getting into the top 4 would be considered a good season for Spurs, it would probably be underwhelming for the fans if they did not put in a title challenge.

After the Champions League final last season and breaking their transfer record on Tanguy N’dombele this summer, you couldn’t blame Spurs fans for wanting to finish higher this season.

Spurs fans will be happy that Cole placed arch-rivals Arsenal outside the top 4. After the signing of Nicolas Pepe Arsenal fans have been very vocal about their top 4 hopes this season (The Sun) and Tottenham fans would love for them to underperform yet again.

Cole also predicted Spurs rivals Chelsea to get into the Champions League spots. However, this isn’t surprising as he played there for many years and is likely to be a little bit biased.

Spurs Web Opinion

Where Spurs will finish is likely to be dependent on what business Daniel Levy gets done before the transfer window closes. If we bring in Lo Celso, Sessegnon and possibly Bruno Fernandes then we should be looking to mount a serious title challenge. On the other hand, if we bring in no-one then we probably lack the quality depth for a serious title challenge.
