Video – Ex-Liverpool player claims his old team should not have been given a penalty in the CL Final

Unfortunately for Tottenham, their Champions League campaign ended in heartbreak at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday night, with the Reds securing a 2-0 victory in Madrid.

Spurs enjoyed more possession, shots, and shots on target than their opponents, but the tone of the match was set from the first minute when Liverpool were awarded a penalty kick in controversial fashion.

When Moussa Sissoko raised his arm to direct Trippier down the flank to cover, Mane crossed the ball, smacking the Spurs man on the chest, before the ball flicked his arm on the way down.

A penalty was given, 30 seconds into the game, and Spurs never really recovered. However, ex-Liverpool player Dean Saunders disagrees with the decision completely.
