Video: Ex-Premier League referee gives his take on Kane disallowed goal

Former Premier League referee, Dermot Gallagher admitted that it seemed an eternity waiting for the VAR to make a decision on Harry Kane’s 95th-minute goal last night.

Kane struck in the dying seconds of Tottenham’s match against Sporting Lisbon, seemingly sending Spurs through to the knockouts as Group D winners.

However, the goal was eventually ruled out for offside, which Gallagher describes as a ‘factual’ decision rather than something objective like a foul. He did admit that it looked as though Kane was just behind the ball from the TV replay angles.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s just one of those decisions you have to move past. It looked onside. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. Either way, the result is done and Spurs need to go again next week against Marseille.
