Video: Ex-Real Madrid president doubts club will have funds to sign Spurs star

Former Real Madrid president Roman Calderon has expressed his doubt on whether the Spanish giants would be able to afford to sign Harry Kane this summer.

The La Liga champions are currently spending around £500m to revamp their iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium which will include a retractable roof and 360-degree video screen that stretches around the entire ground, along with other leisure and hospitality facilities (The Sun).

Calderon believes that the expense of the revamp of the club’s stadium along with the financial predicament they are currently in will make it difficult for them to have funds to spend on transfers in the summer.

Kane’s future in North London is frequently discussed among the media with some suggesting that he needs to leave Tottenham if he wants to fulfil his ambition of winning silverware during his career.
