Former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara has admitted that he decided not to ask for Cristiano Ronaldo’s shirt after a game out of respect for Spurs fans after the North Londoners lost against Man United.
O’Hara’s career did not deliver as much as it once promised when he first broke through as a youngster at Spurs under Juande Ramos.
The midfielder, however, was quite versatile, not only capable of playing in his natural central midfield position but also out wide and occasionally even as a left-back.
The 34-year-old revealed how he came against Ronaldo when he was playing left-back on one occasion but could not ask for the Manchester United man’s shirt as he had scored a brace for the Red Devils.
Listen to what the Billericay Town manager said on talkSPORT Breakfast:
? “I played left back vs Ronaldo once… he only scored two.”
? “I thought I couldn’t really ask for his shirt as he’s just scored two!”
? “It wasn’t right to ask after he gave us a bashing.”
