Video: Ex-Spurs player makes top four and trophy prediction for this season

Jamie O’Hara has urged the club to prioritise winning the Carabao Cup or the Europa Conference League over finishing in the top four this season.

Spurs have not finished in the top four for the last two seasons and now find themselves six points adrift of fourth place after eleven games this campaign.

The arrival of Antonio Conte has certainly energised the club and Spurs fans will be hoping that the Italian can turn their fortunes around and get them back into the Champions League.

However, O’Hara has said he would accept missing out on the top four if it meant that the Lilywhites would finally break their 13-year trophy drought.

Until Conte’s appointment, most Spurs fans would not have given the club any shot of making the top four. However, there is certainly a lot of renewed optimism since the Italian’s arrival.

The 52-year-old will certainly be taking the Carabao Cup and Conference League seriously but one cannot underestimate how important Champions League revenue is for the club, especially if we are to spend big next summer.
