Many Spurs fans will remember back in 2015 when the club had a bid rejected for West Brom striker Saido Berahino, with the Baggies having no interest in selling player, who at the time was a man in form (BBC).
Spurs were said to have bid around £15m, with West Brom rating him at £25m at least (Telegraph) with a move failing to materialise and his career took a sharp downturn.
Berahino was then loaned out three times by West Brom, before eventually joining Stoke City in 2017 for £12million and scored just five goals in 56 games before being released in August with three years left on his five-and-a-half-year deal (BBC).
