Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has recalled the time during his playing career in North London when Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Rafael van der Vaart nearly came to blows in the dressing room.

The Brazilian, who was known as the ‘Beast’ during his time at Tottenham due to his physical dominance in the middle of the park, was speaking exclusively to SpursWeb.

He described Assou-Ekotto as 100 per cent crazier than himself and explained the situation where Assou-Ekotto and Van der Vaart had disagreed about who should take a free-kick during a match.

At the half time break, the left-back attempted to headlock the Dutchman in the changing room which led to Sandro having to break up the confrontation to rescue the former Real Madrid man.

Take a look at the video below to watch Sandro describe the incident.
