Video: Fabrizio Romano explains Spurs hierarchy have ‘clear vision’ for the future

Fabrizio Romano has waxed lyrical about the work Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte have done to transform Tottenham, insisting that the North London club have a clear vision to compete for major trophies over the coming years.

After a promising start to the season, Spurs have struggled to pick up results over recent weeks, and have thus come in for plenty of criticism (Sky Sports Football Daily).

Following his side’s loss to Liverpool, Conte admitted that it will take time for the Lilywhites to compete for major honours and opened up about the challenges the team faced over recent weeks, owing to injuries to key players (Football.London).

Romano has now opined that Conte has completely changed the mood in the Tottenham dressing room since he arrived at the club 12 months ago.

He also hailed Paratici for the club’s smart transfer business, including the acquisitions of Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Destiny Udogie.

Romano insisted that the Spurs managing director of football and head coach are determined to ensure that the club compete for the biggest trophies over the coming years.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that we have progressed considerably in the last 15 months and it is important not to overreact to some of our recent losses.

I fully expect us to finish in the top four again this season, and Conte will be viewing the FA Cup and Carabao Cup as an ideal chance to end the club’s trophy drought.
