Despite Tottenham’s end to their losing streak against Brighton this weekend, there was sad news out of North London.
One half of the famous musical duo Chas and Dave, Chas Hodges, passed away aged 74, after a fight with oesophageal cancer.
Chas was a huge fan of Tottenham Football Club, and along with Dave wrote four FA Cup final songs for the team.
The duo coined the ‘Rockney’ style of music they so enthusiastically played, a combination or rock and cockney.
The likes of ‘Ossie’s Dream’ still get played around Wembley to this day.
The club were deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss, as were all of us here at Spurs Web.
As a reminder of the talent, humour, and dedication to Tottenham that Chas showed throughout his career, we take a look back at a classic Fantasy Football sketch featuring the duo, along with Skinner and Baddiel.
RIP Chas.
